      1. Oh sorry. Yes, I live in the U.S. Currently in northern California, I lived in Alaska for 6 years (northern most state in U.S., north west of Canada).

      2. Yes, marvelous indeed. Raw, wild, untouched, expansive and cold. But I really enjoyed living there, I have tried to move back a number of times…we just landed in Northern California this past summer, the redwoods and ocean are incredible!

      3. It is interesting, Pike. The California shared with the world is Los Angeles (Hollywood) and Malibu (beaches). We moved from Alaska to a suburb of LA and it was intense culture shock. Too crowded and no wild nature. We just moved to this part of California, Northern tip, about 70 miles from the California/Oregon border. It is rugged coastlines, redwood groves, few people, no traffic and a simple life with accessible wilderness. It is a very happy mild middle ground, feels a bit like Alaska in many ways without the darkness and chill. We are much more settled now.

  1. So beautifully captured! It’s been so very long since I’ve last seen Northern Lights. I hope to again some day… in the meantime, I’ll just have to appreciate beautiful photos like yours 🙂

  2. This is a most excellent and incredibly beautiful phenomenon, it is often seen in Finland? Here in Denmark, I have never seen it.

    1. Yes, it is magnificent! It isn’t ordinary to see it in the southern part of Finland, only in Lapland it’s normal.

  3. Amazing pictures, they look so magical! I think it would be magnificent to see these and just be caught in watching their movement. For a first time shooting them, they are excellent! 🙂
